I just ended up closing Steam while I played that game and this trick would have helped me out quite a bit.Īlternatively (although I've not tested this) you could "add a non-Steam game" to your library and launch PS4 Remote Play from there.

I think it was DA:I and I was using a third-party software to convert the DS4 inputs in to Xbox inputs, but Steam kept thinking I was using an Xbox controller in desktop mode and wanted to open the keyboard every time I clicked the stick. This drove me nuts when I was trying to play a non-Steam game a while back. The "desktop configuration" is where the on screen keyboard setting is located.
